Protected Health Information and HIPAA
Maternal Relief Co. is operated by IMS Experts, which maintains an established Notice of Privacy Practices governing the use and disclosure of protected health information where applicable under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
Information collected in connection with insurance verification, medical equipment orders, prescriptions, patient intake, and related healthcare services may be subject to additional privacy protections under applicable federal and state laws.

Cookies, browser storage and analytics
Essential storage. We use essential browser storage and cookies to run the site. For example, your shopping cart and your privacy choices are saved in your browser's local storage on your device. These are always on because the site does not work properly without them, and they are not used for advertising.
Optional Google Analytics. With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits to a limited set of general information pages: the homepage, the catalog, product category pages, About, FAQ and our Final Sale Policy. Google Analytics is off until you choose "Accept Analytics." It is never used on our contact, coverage, in-network, body relief map, eligibility quiz, insurance verification, patient intake, prescription, physician referral, breast pump consent, cart, checkout, order confirmation, account or privacy pages.
When analytics is enabled, we send only page views and basic engagement timing for those pages, with a cleaned page address and a generic page title. We do not send form entries, search terms, medical or insurance information, names, email addresses or order details to Google. Google receives standard device and connection information (such as IP address and browser type) and sets analytics cookies in your browser. We have turned off Google Signals, advertising personalization and enhanced measurement, and we have set the Google Analytics data retention setting to 2 months. That setting governs how long Google Analytics keeps the event-level and user-level data it covers; it does not necessarily apply to all information Google processes or retains, and it does not apply to any other information Maternal Relief Co. keeps.
Internal Advertising Attribution. With your consent to optional cookies and similar technologies, we may temporarily store limited advertising attribution information in your browser's session storage when you visit our website through a Google advertisement. This information includes the advertising source, an approved campaign identifier, and the date of your visit. If you subsequently submit an insurance verification request, these details may be securely associated with your request to help us evaluate advertising effectiveness through aggregated reporting accessible only to authorized administrators.
We do not retain Google advertising click identifiers or transmit insurance verification submissions, patient information, or submission-related conversion events to Google Ads or other advertising platforms. You may decline or withdraw optional tracking consent at any time, which prevents or clears attribution information stored in your browser. Advertising attribution information associated with submitted requests is removed from our database after 13 months; underlying insurance and medical documentation is retained separately in accordance with applicable requirements.
Accepting, rejecting or withdrawing consent. When you first visit, you can choose "Accept Analytics" or "Reject Optional Analytics." Your choice is remembered for one year, after which we will ask again. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through (also linked in the footer of every page). If you withdraw consent, analytics stops and we attempt to remove Google Analytics cookies from your browser. You can also use Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Emails
We send transactional emails about your orders, shipments and requests. Newsletter emails are sent only if you sign up, and each one includes an unsubscribe link.
Data retention
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including fulfilling orders, supporting insurance claims, maintaining business and billing records, and meeting legal, regulatory and insurance-payer obligations. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and our obligations.
Security
We use administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect the information we hold, including limiting access to people who need it to do their work. No website, transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Your privacy choices and rights
- Accept, reject or withdraw optional analytics at any time through Cookie Preferences.
- Unsubscribe from newsletter emails using the link in any newsletter.
- Contact us to ask about, update or correct your information.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law, such as to request access to or deletion of certain information. We will respond to requests as required by applicable law.
Children
Our website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information online from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date above.
